I am in full agreement with Rodger but that is not surprising. I would not even consider the 2x tel-con on any lens. I currently own the 1.4 II tel-con and can say it works very well on the ef 70-200mm f2.8L lenses. I am not sue but I don't think I had the version II extender when I had my original
Always read the compatibility list before you buy a tel-con. The 2x is a bad idea even on lenses it is compatible with. IMHO, of course.

You can correct RAW images taken with the compatible lens even when the extender is attached. You can correct RAW images shot with EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro fitted with Life Size Converter EF. The lens aberration correction function is not available for multiple-exposure RAW images created on the camera.
